This course will look in detail at what editors want and why they reject short stories.

It requires students to bring along a previously rejected short story for criticism and advice.  1800 words max please. Praise for Della Galton:

“I have attended many of Della Galton's courses and workshops on creative writing. I find them inspirational and totally addictive. Her support and knowledge is unsurpassed and invaluable to every student of fiction writing...”
Hilary Halliwell, Fiction writer

"Della's thoughtful and incisive tuition, together with her constant encouragement and support, have been inspirational.  Not only that - it has led to publication!"

Gwen Cremin

"Della is a constant source of inspiration and encouragement.  A workshop article of mine from one of her Saturday classes was published in The Lady.  A short story of mine from a workshop in another of her classes has been accepted by People's Friend.  Success, after years of trying.  Thank you, Della."

Mo Turner

"I have been attending Della's Creative Writing classes for five years now and not only have they been fun, but during this time, I have had stories published in the 'Sexy Shorts' series (Scary Shorts and Saucy Shorts), articles published in magazines and been a prize winner for a short story competition run by 'Writers' News' magazine. Della's teaching methods, her constructive criticism and comments have been invaluable to me as a writer."

Jill Stitson

"Della's courses are not only good fun, but teach how to develop your work from idea to sale. She is generous with her knowledge, and covers every aspect of fiction and non fiction writing. Many workshops I have attended later resulted in a short story being sold. I thoroughly recommend attending, you won't be disappointed."
